GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCSC) - The Georgetown Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a shooting on Saturday.

Officials say Jakaii Omar Pinckney was wanted on three counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Officers say they were later able to find Pinckney on Lafayette Street on Sunday and, after a short chase on foot, he was arrested without further incident.

The Police Department says Pinckney was identified as a suspect from an incident on Saturday in the 1900 block of Gilbert Street, where a vehicle was shot at and one of the occupants of the vehicle was injured by the gunshots. The Georgetown Police Department says Pinckney should be considered armed and dangerous.
