Grumble grumble: The “inorganic protests” that 2nd District Congressman Josh Brecheen warned may disrupt his series of town halls last week do not seem to have gotten too out of hand, but Brecheen did face more than the usual number of disgruntled constituents.
The most widely circulated moments included a puzzling response to a question in Pryor about rising food prices.
Brecheen told the questioner she was raising a state issue, and if she had a question on taxes on food she should address state officials. The woman did not ask about taxes, and Oklahoma no longer taxes groceries.
In Bartlesville, a man identifying himself as a veteran tore up a paper flag after Brecheen said he favored prosecuting flag-burners.
