The Milwaukee Bucks continued to fill out their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season by agreeing to re-sign veteran forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo , the team announced Aug. 31.

Antetokounmpo is returning to the Bucks on a guaranteed, one-year, $2.9 million deal per multiple league sources.

The 33-year-old missed the 2024-25 season due to a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in a workout just after the Bucks were eliminated from the 2024 playoffs. Antetokounmpo told the Journal Sentinel he was medically cleared to return to action in December , but he has played his first games since the injury for the Greek national team over the month of August .

Antetokounmpo returns to Milwaukee after appearing in 196 games for the Bucks from 2019-24. He was also a part of the 2021 NBA champions
