George Washington University found the House-passed version of the bill would reduce Ohio’s annual Medicaid funding by $3.4 billion (a 12% reduction) and reduce SNAP by $1 billion, while diminishing Ohio’s GDP by $4.3 billion, cutting nearly 38,000 jobs and slashing state tax revenues by $283 million. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities warned of “ by far the largest cut to SNAP in history .”
