Floyd Levine, a character actor whose career spanned more than five decades with roles in films such as “The Hangover” and “Good Burger” and television shows including “Melrose Place,” “Baywatch” and “Murder, She Wrote,” has died. He was 93.

Levine’s family confirmed his death Sunday in a social media post , saying he “passed away peacefully … surrounded by his beautiful family (and probably wishing someone would bring him a martini).”

Born in New York, Levine began acting in the early 1970s, with one of his first film credits in “Super Fly,” according to the Hollywood Reporter .

He went on to appear in more than 100 screen roles, frequently portraying law enforcement and other supporting characters in projects such as “Death Wish,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Starsky & Hutch,” “The A-Tea
