Police temporarily closed off vehicle access to a Los Angeles International Airport terminal on Sunday of Labor Day weekend while an investigation was underway.
LAX police said that around 12:30 p.m., their division was alerted to an unattended bag at Terminal 4, before security screening.
“Airport Police K9 and LAPD responded and cleared the item,” stated an LAX police spokesperson. “During the investigation, vehicular traffic was diverted to lower level and West Way, and roads are currently being reopened.”
Footage from the Citizen app showed law enforcement parked in the drop-off area of the terminal with their lights on, and officers diverting traffic around the area.
Around 1 p.m., L.A. Airport PD posted the following to X: “Police activity at Terminal 4. Vehicles are being divert
