London police were asking for the public’s help as they investigated a shooting near downtown’s busy bar district that left one person injured.
It was about 3 a.m. on Sunday – on a weekend when post-secondary students who frequent Richmond Row returned to London en masse – when London police say they received “multiple reports” of “possible gunfire” in the area of John Street and Richmond Street.
Police say officers found “evidence of a firearm being discharged.” Investigators were able to identify a vehicle involved through video surveillance footage, police said, adding that a person had been dropped off at hospital with injuries that were considered serious but not life-threatening.
