Nine-month-old Henry "Hank" Knobbe is one of many young patients at Blank Children's Hospital. His face lit up when a group of superheroes visited his room Wednesday morning.

"Just to see him smile is pretty excellent," said Ross Knobbe, Hank's dad. "We had some tough days earlier, but he's starting to feel better. Seeing him smile makes us feel better."

These costumed characters are window washers at Larry’s Cleaning Service by day. They’re here not only to clean the hospital’s windows, but to see little ones light up.

"It's not like it's every day they get a break from the hospital," said Ted Beveridge, who dresses up as Thor. "We try to be out here, come and get their minds off things [and] be the heroes. They're the real heroes dealing with all the stuff they have to deal with."
