CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) -- The Canfield Fair hosts the Wiener Dog Derby and The Rooster Run year after year, and even though the Wiener Dog Derby is for the dogs, The Rooster Run is for human runners of all ages.

The race, a 5k run weaving all around the Canfield Fairgrounds, has been a tradition for the last 10 years. With this year's runners aged 14 to 84, 335 runners crossed the finish line during Sunday's race, and in doing so meant they beat last year's attendance by over 100.

"It was a lot of fun, I mean, it's always a fun course. I actually started in the back today, which was a little bit tough to push a lot. By the way, I actually ran a 4:53 first mile, so I was motoring through the first downhill, but then I kept it consistent and finished hard," said Lucas Sokol, 2025 and 3-time
