A Harrison Township industrial shop is expected to be closed for several days following a fire that broke out in the facility Sunday afternoon.

Fire crews from several communities worked to extinguish the blaze at Selfridge Plating on Irwin Drive, near Production Drive at North River, just east of Interstate 94.

No one was inside the building when the blaze broke out about 3 p.m. and no one was injured, according to company officials.

Video of the incident posted on social media showed thick plumes of gray smoke billowing into the air.
