FAIRFIELD, Calif. —
A vegetation fire burning near Highway 12 in Fairfield has prompted some evacuation orders, Fairfield police said.

The evacuation orders cover the 1400 and 1500 blocks of James Street in Fairfield north of the highway.
During an evacuation order, residents must immediately leave the area because there is an imminent threat to life and property.
