STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — The State Fire Marshal's Office approved state mobilization for two wildfires burning in Stevens County near Northport on Sunday.
According to Stevens County Emergency Management (SCEM), the fires also prompted Level 1, 2 and 3 evacuations for the Marble and Onion Creek communities.
A Red Cross shelter has been set up at the American Legion Post 146 at 1057 Hwy 395 North Kettle Falls.
According to Northeast Washington Fire Information (NWFI), the Crown Creek Fire has burned 3,179 acres as of Monday afternoon, while the Black Hawk Mountain Fire has burned 372 acres.
Both fires are 0% contained.
SCEM says there are road closures in place, including:
Hwy 25 and Clugston-Onion Creek Road
Hwy 25 and Johnson Grade Road
Clugston Onion Creed Road and Bodie Mountain
