GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Pedal Pull State Championship took place at the Nebraska State Fair on Sunday.

There have been almost 100 regional Pedal Pulls events this summer. People who qualified in the Regionals got to go to State for the chance to move to Nationals.

Pedal Pulling is a competition that has kids aged four to 12 compete on pedaling a tractor and trailer. The trailer has a weight on it that slowly gets pulled up the trailer. Once it reaches the top it is considered a full pull.

Hunter Connell from Waterbury was competing with the 12 year old boys, with a mindset on believing in himself. When asking Connell if he gets tired pulling the weights, he said, “Yes and no, depends on how you do it.”

Connell was competing with the 12-year-old boys and finished in fourth place
