GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A cooking demonstration at the Nebraska State Fair encouraged its audience to step out of their comfort zone by trying unique dishes and preparing food at the Raising Nebraska Building.

The host of Nebraska Pork Producers Association, Nader Farahpod, owner of Billy’s restaurant in Lincoln, has been doing the exhibit for over 20 years.

Farahpod said he loves the engagement.

“As soon as I turn my mic on then it is just fun. People laugh,” Farahpod.

Farahpod knows not everyone is chef, so he takes the time to not only help people who come and volunteer, but also for the audience to know the why behind his reasoning.
