Following their Sunday afternoon 5-0 loss to the Tigers , the Royals have announced their anticipated Monday transactions.
With rosters expanding from 26 players to 28, the Royals, as expected, will use one of their additional spots to activate rookie slugger Jac Caglianone , sidelined since July 27 with a left hamstring strain .
Also, receiving the call -- his first -- will be Royals' No. 2 prospect Carter Jensen .
Jensen, a Kansas City native, was the Royals' 3rd-round pick in the 2021 Draft out of Park Hill High School. The 22-year-old catcher has split the 2025 season between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha, slashing a combined .290/.377/.501 with 20 doubles, five triples and 20 home runs.
