PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A wildfire along Interstate 84 near The Dalles put people living nearby on Level 2: “Be Set” evacuation alert on Sunday evening, according to the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office .

Just after 7 p.m., authorities warned people living in the Pinewood Mobile Manor to be ready to evacuate as crews battled the fire.

By 7:30 p.m., Mid Columbia Fire Rescue said the fire had been contained to about three acres, and crews were working on mop-up.

However, authorities are keeping the Level 2 evacuation alert in place overnight, WCSO said.
