Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed that cities in Republican-controlled states are also being evaluated for potential crime crackdowns, denying the administration’s actions are being done under “a political lens."
The Trump administration is looking to target crime in Chicago after taking similar action in Washington, D.C., this month. Noem said on Sunday that the administration isn’t taking “anything off the table” with other cities like Boston or San Francisco, and is ensuring it has the resources and equipment needed.
