Troy, Ala. (WDHN)—It's the start of year two for the Troy Trojans under Head Coach Gerad Parker, as this team welcomed the Nichols Colonels into Veterans Memorial Stadium.

But the Trojans' 2025 campaign got off to a rocky start, as the team found itself facing a 10-0 deficit late in the first quarter.

With just over a minute left before halftime, Troy's offense finally found some life, as fourth-year quarterback Goose Crowder was able to find Roman Mothershed for a touchdown, making it a one-score game going into the locker rooms.

The Colonels responded with a touchdown to open the third quarter and extend their lead, but it would be all Troy from then on.

Crowder was lights out in this matchup, throwing for 144 yards and three scores through the air, while also adding another touchdow
