Transfer Deadline Day: Manchester United strike deal amid Martinez talk; Man City closing in on Donnarumma

Manchester United have struck an early deal on Deadline Day as the club work on bringing in at least one player, but Kobbie Mainoo is going nowhere.

Ruben Amorim has spent big on upgrading his forward this summer, with well in excess of £200million being forked out for Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. The trio have contributed two goals in four games so far.

That leaves United needing to shift their deadwood, in the form of Antony and Rasmus Hojlund.
