Several Mississippi counties can expect to see tax cuts in the coming years thanks to the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act."
Nationally, the average tax cut for individuals in 2026 is expected to be $3,752. The Mississippi average is $2,400.
President Donald Trump signed it into law on July 4. Recently, he said the OBBA name that he coined was good for getting it passed but isn't helping explain what it did now it's getting implemented. He's working to move away from the official title.
