Happy Labor Day! A persistent trough over the eastern US has remained firmly in place for the past week, and this pattern isn't going to change anytime soon. This is a setup where we can expect more of the same: cooler-than-normal temperatures, periods of clouds, and occasional showers.
Cloud cover will continue today, and a few rain showers are possible through the day, especially west of Highway 65. Temperatures will be held to the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon paired with a light east breeze. Clouds and a few showers will loiter tonight and linger through the day Tuesday.
