Lola Tung, who stars in The Summer I Turned Pretty, has signed on to Osgood Perkins’ new movie The Young People, set to film in Vancouver this fall.

Tung is currently leading Prime’s buzzy young romance series in its third and final season, and has recently wrapped another horror feature set to premier next year.

Perkins is best known as the director for the Vancouver-shot, top-grossing independent films Longlegs and The Monkey , as well as the upcoming Keeper (out Nov. 14). He has been working here since 2022 and has advocated for streamlining the visa process for creatives who wish to call Vancouver their permanent home.
