ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney's annual Destination D23 weekend wrapped up on Sunday, and with it came several announcements for Walt Disney World.

Walt comes to life

Walt Disney himself will return to the stage via audio-animatronic technology at the Magic Kingdom's Carousel of Progress.

Disney says the animatronic will welcome guests during a brand-new introductory scene.

The company added that more details are to be revealed, as well as what "John, Sarah, and the rest of the family are up to."
