NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Virginia politicians, including those running for office, joined Congressman Bobby Scott at his annual Labor Day Cookout on Monday afternoon.
Scott’s cookout has long been a Labor Day tradition, drawing community members, labor leaders and elected officials from across Virginia.
Scott described Monday’s cookout as the unofficial kickoff to November’s race.
