BOSSIER CITY, La. — The 5th annual Battle of the Bags cornhole tournament is set for Saturday at The Seventh Tap in the East Bank District, bringing together teams of two to compete for cash prizes while supporting local first responders and military personnel.
The event is hosted as a way of giving back to those who keep the community safe and support local events throughout the year. Funds are raised through team registrations, raffle ticket sales, and a portion of restaurant sales.
In 2024, the tournament raised more than $8,000, which funded over 350 mental health sessions for 117 first responders who may not have otherwise sought care.
This year, the top three teams will receive cash prizes — $500 for first place, $300 for second and $200 for third. The Shreveport-Bossier Sports
