Girls aren’t the only ones weeping over Jacob Elordi . The Australian actor found himself in tears following the premiere of his new film Frankenstein , which received a 14-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday.

Both Elordi and his director, Guillermo del Toro , were so moved by the enthusiastic response to the Netflix movie they wiped away tears. Elordi was also filmed hugging his co-stars Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth.

The film, an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s 1818 classic novel of the same name, stars Elordi as the famed monster, who is sewn together and brought to life by Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Isaac). Goth plays Elizabeth, Victor’s doomed childhood sweetheart, and Christoph Waltz plays Harlander, an arms dealer.
