WALKER — The Cass County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its second annual Woodlands for Wildlife event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Walker Area Community Center, 105 Tower Ave.
This event will focus on practical ways to improve woodland habitat for wildlife while keeping forests healthy and productive for future generations, a release said.
This year’s featured speaker is Dan Steward, retired woodland professional and former forestry management coordinator for the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources.
Steward will share how he and his family manage their personal 40-acre woodland, including:
