The Pittsburgh Steelers are less than a week away from beginning their 2025 season in New York against the Jets. And while it appeared that they had completed all of their new contracts before the season, they have given one more before the new season kicks off.

Jaylen Warren and the Steelers have come to terms on a two-year extension, per his agent David Canter. Warren signed an RFA tender to keep him on the roster through the 2025 season, but will now be locked up through 2027 and won’t hit the open market until 2028.

The Steelers now have a potentially great duo of backs for the foreseeable future, as they drafted Kaleb Johnson in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Iowa.

Warren has 1,674 career rushing yards and six touchdowns while averaging just under five yards per carry
