Here are the cities in Iowa that saw the most rainfall from Sunday, Aug. 31, at 6 a.m., through 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, the Iowa Environmental Mesonet reported.
Shenadoah: 1.73 inches
Algona: .95 inches
Clarinda: .87 inches
Ames : .72 inches
Harlan: .62 inches
Overall, Sheldon received a total of 2.24 inches of rain from Saturday, Aug. 30, through early Monday morning. Des Moines only received .09 inches of rain over the Labor Day weekend.
