A pair of runners from Provo, Utah — Conner Mantz and Aubrey Frentheway — won the Faxon Law New Haven 20K Road Race on Monday. Mantz won the men’s 20K in a record 56 minutes, 16 seconds. Frentheway finished first in the women’s competition in 1:05:36.
The race, a Labor Day tradition in New Haven for 48 years, was run in perfect weather and drew a field of about 5,000 to the event, which also includes a 5K, half marathon and marathon relay.
