CLIVE, Iowa — Labor Day could offer more than just a day off with the Powerball® jackpot reaching an estimated $1.1 billion.

This marks the fifth-largest jackpot in the game's history.

Iowa Lottery players won a total of 36,999 prizes, valued at $266,993, in the recent Powerball drawing. The winning numbers were 3-18-22-27-33 with a Powerball of 17. The Power Play® number was 3.

Iowa residents purchased over $2.28 million in Powerball tickets for the drawing, with the average customer buying about three plays. Lottery officials say they were pleased to see that most people played responsibly.
