TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The State rested its case in Donna Adelson’s murder trial on Friday, and the defense will begin calling its witnesses Tuesday morning.
Donna Adelson is on trial more than a decade after Dan Markel, her daughter’s ex-husband, was shot in his garage.
During the six-day testimony, the State called 26 witnesses. Some notable faces included convicted go-between Katherine Magbanua, Robert Adelson, and two jailhouse “snitches.”
Jurors heard lengthy wiretapped phone calls between Charlie, who was convicted in 2023, Magbanua, and Donna Adelson.
The State had previously estimated it would take five to seven days to present its case.
