FORT MILL, S.C. (WBTV) - Water service was shut off on Monday in some parts of Fort Mill and Tega Cay following a water main break over the weekend.
A boil water advisory was issued the morning of Sunday, Aug. 31 for some parts of Fort Mill and Tega Cay in South Carolina. The advisory came after a 24-inch water main break was reported in the area of Coltharp Road and U.S. Highway 21 on Saturday, Aug. 30.
The county said the broken water line was repaired in Fort Mill as of 2:50 p.m. on Sunday. Water was restored to affected customers by Sunday evening -- but the boil water notice was still in effect “until further notice.”
