HOUSTON (KIAH) — A husband and wife were found dead at a west Houston home in what investigators are calling an apparent murder-suicide.

Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constables were called to a home at the 3300 block of Piney Forest Drive around 10 p.m. Sunday night. The deputies discovered the bodies of a 48-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman.

Investigators said that the couple’s 16-year-old daughter had told them that her parents had been arguing. They also said that the man apparently shot the woman before turning the gun on himself.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation.
