Lower toll rates coming to Highway 288, savings for drivers

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Some new changes are coming to the Highway 288 toll lanes and drivers will start seeing lower rates very soon.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDot), the average daily toll rates on 288 will now be reduced by nearly half on the Harris County portion.

NOTE: However, the rates will not be reduced during some peak times to keep traffic flowing.
