BENTON HARBOR - Battle Creek Central couldn't have asked for a better start to a season.
After going 1-8 a year ago, the 2025 Bearcats matched last year's win total already as Battle Creek Central dominated Benton Harbor for a 52-0 victory in this non-conference high school football game at Benton Harbor on Thursday, Aug. 28.
"I am humbled to be able to start the season 1-0," Battle Creek Central coach Lorin Granger said. "The last couple of years, we had to be mistake-free to even give ourselves a chance to be in games. To be successful, like we were tonight, in a game that we did make some mistakes and still win, that gives us a lot of confidence."
Battle Creek Central led 34-0 at halftime. The Bearcats' Lee Campbell had four touchdowns from the quarterback spot, throwing for 152 yard
