A man has appeared in court charged with murder over the death of a woman at an Edinburgh home. Momodou Bobb is alleged to have killed Ndata Bobb, 43, from Gambia at an address at Restalrig Avenue last week.

Emergency services raced to the property around 1am on Thursday, August 28. Upon their attendance Ndata was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment, where she sadly died a short time later. A 55-year-old man was taken to St John's Hospital for treatment. He was later released.

Bobb, also from Gambia, was in the dock today at the Edinburgh court house where he faced a charge of murder. The 55-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody. He will be due back in court within the next eight days.
