ST. LOUIS — Lufthansa Airlines will expand its nonstop flights from St. Louis Lambert International Airport to Frankfurt, Germany, next summer.
The flights — the only direct trips available from St. Louis to Europe — will be offered five days a week, up from three, starting in June and running through October, Lambert announced in a press release Monday.
"This is exactly the type of service the St. Louis region wants and needs," said Lambert CEO Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge in the statement.
Lufthansa has offered service from Lambert since June 2022. Its flights, which run on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, operated at 94% capacity last summer, the statement said. Next summer, flights will also be available on Mondays and Tuesdays.
