KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Police Department has named the victims of a downtown shooting that killed two and injured three.

According to KCPD, Kane Taddese, 24, and John Alfaro, 18, were shot and killed around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24. It happened in a parking lot near 13th and Grand, by the T-Mobile Center and Kansas City Power and Light entertainment district.

Three other people, including a man, a woman and a boy under the age of 18, were injured in the gunfire.

Bullet holes dotted nearby buildings and neighbors reported hearing dozens of gunshots.
