DODGE CENTER, Minn. — A Texas Longhorn cow caused a stir on Sunday afternoon after escaping from its pasture near Dodge Center, prompting a series of emergency responses. Brandon Schmoll reported the escape around 2 p.m. from County Road 34. The cow wandered onto railroad tracks and later onto Highway 14, leading to traffic disruptions as deputies attempted to contain the situation. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says the cow's aggressive behavior posed a risk, charging at individuals and injuring a family member, who declined medical treatment.
