FOXBOROUGH – With less than a week to go until the Patriots’ regular season opener, there’s uncertainty surrounding one of the team’s best players.

On Monday, the Patriots held their first practice of the week as they prepare for their Week 1 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Once again, Christian Gonzalez wasn’t on the practice field.

Before the start of practice, Mike Vrabel said he doesn’t want to see anyone frustrated over this situation.

“I wouldn’t anticipate him out here today. Hopefully, that improves, but (he’s) working hard and trying to improve. He wants to be out there,” Vrabel said. “I think this is good for us and for Christian and the team to try and not be frustrated. Obviously, those things happen – and it’s how we respond to them.
