TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A deadly crash involving a car and a flatbed tow truck has left one dead and three others injured.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. near East Drexel Road and South Palo Verde Road on Aug. 30.

The driver of the car, identified as 25-year-old Fran Molina, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to PCSD, Molina hit the back end of the tow truck as she was driving north on South Palo Verde Road. The tow truck driver was not injured, and the three passengers from the car were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Speed and impairment are suspected as causes of the crash, PCSD said.

The investigation is ongoing.
