A Birmingham school will not be welcoming back pupils after thieves stole a set of pipes.
Stirchley Primary, off Pershore Road, is without running water in the toilets and kitchen after criminals broke into the nearby constituency office and hacked away the pipes.
Severn Trent engineers have not been able to reconnect the supply, so a decision was made to keep the school closed to students on Tuesday (September 2), when they were due to start the new year.

A letter sent to parents and guardians said: "I am writing to inform you of an incident that has affected the school.
"The local constituency office was broken into, and during the burglary, pipework was also stolen.
