STAPLES — A crash, involving five people in two vehicles, was reported 5:43 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, on Highway 64 in Cass County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a 2012 Kia Forte was traveling south on Highway 64 at 56th Street Southwest and when it slowed for traffic it was rear-ended by a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. The Chevrolet was southbound behind the Kia when traffic slowed to a stop. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
The Chevrolet driver, a 16-year-old boy, was not named in the crash report. He was not reported injured. His passengers, Levi Paul Patteri, 16, Echo Bay, and Cecil William Scheuble, 15, Waverly, were not reported injured and all were wearing seat belts.
