A death investigation is underway after a body was removed from the lake at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles Monday morning.

The Los Angeles police and fire department responded to the park near the intersection of 7th and Lake streets around 11:30 a.m. following reports of a body in the lake.

Video from Sky5 showed a law enforcement canopy covering the scene where the body was removed the water.

At this time, police have yet to release any information about the person's identity.

The cause of death has yet to be determined, although it was originally reported as a drowning.

No further details were released.
