SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - It has been almost two weeks since the Sioux Falls little league team took the field.

On Monday a welcome back party was hosted here in Sioux Falls.

The players got together to sign autographs and play various games like pool or darts.

They were grateful that the community rallied behind them when they competed in Williamsport, and even when they return without the first place trophy.

Maxen Snoozy, pitcher said, “It’s cool not a lot of people get welcomed back and we’re one of the teams that do so I think that’s really cool.”

Ryan Vavruska, the team’s coach said, “I’ve been saying this since the first day we left we had Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the Midwest all rally behind us when we started this journey.”
