AUSTIN (KXAN) — A more than 5,500-mile bike ride from Anchorage, Alaska to College Station, Texas will soon be coming to an end for one Austin man and his brother.

The goal of the ride is to raise money and awareness about two causes that are dear to their hearts.

Bobby Jenkins is riding to raise awareness and donations for Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood or S-U-D-C. His grandson, Moss, died from SUDC in 2014.

Raleigh Jenkins is raising money for Mission Lazarus, which is a nonprofit focused on breaking the cycle of poverty in Honduras and Haiti.

On Monday, the brothers left Breckenridge, Texas and plan on stopping in Mineral Wells for the night.
