UNION COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation reports a road in Union County will be closed for a bridge replacement project in September.

SCDOT said Bobby Faucette Road will be closed between Union Highway and Peter Hawk Creek Road beginning on Sep. 15. The closure will last until the summer of 2026.

A detour route will be in place around the closure using Union Highway, South Main Street, Jonesville Lockhart Highway and Bobby Faucette Road, according to the SCDOT.
