TOLEDO, Ohio — On Labor Day, a major labor strike continues in north Toledo.
Today marks 10 days since the workers at Libbey Glass began striking after contract negotiations came to a halt late last month.
There has been no new movement at the bargaining table between the unions and Libbey Glass, according to the unions we spoke to today. But representatives did paint a clearer picture of the current impasse.
"They're just really disrespecting our members, and again, all we want is a fair deal," says Blatt.
The glass strike in the Glass City has reached double digits. The strike is the first since 2016, when a similar dispute lasted for more than two weeks.
