CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities on Monday said a 17-year-old youth was killed in a shooting incident that left two other boys wounded in Maple Heights over the weekend.

Jayden Bonner was found shot to death at about 10 p.m. in the backyard of a home in the 5200 block of Cato Street in Maple Heights, according to the office of the Cuyahoga County medical examiner’s office.

WKYC, a news partner of Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer, reported that Jayden was a senior at Shaker Heights High School.

Maple Heights police said officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 5200 block of Thomas Street about 10 p.m. and found two boys with wounds. They were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.
